Ebook About SummonsThe first in a new series of standalone stories where our lovely men find their mates in the strangest of circumstances. It has to be Fate, right?Edward Rosen, level ten mage, hadn’t reached the end of his tether – he was hanging from it. After a hundred and twenty-four years of living under his parents’ rules, Edward decided the only way things could change, was if he got married. The only problem was that the wedding was meant to take place in a matter of hours and Edward hadn’t met his groom yet.Mammon, Prince of Hell, was doing what most demons did when they were bored – he was playing poker. When an unbeatable hand is foiled by a summons, he’s not impressed. But rules are rules and Mammon followed the summons, determined to get back to his game as quickly as possible.Marrying was just the first hurdle. Coping with the demands of Edward’s family, a curse, a prophecy, and four hellhounds took a lot of work. Clara’s having a ball, but what’s with all the toothpicks and where did the dragon come from?Summons is a 50,000 word story that’s a classic example of what happens when the author’s muse runs amuck. But like all of Lisa’s stories, it contains fated mates, a spot of humor, and intimate situations between two men that are only suitable for readers eighteen years and older. HEA is guaranteed.Book Summons: A demon/mage story (Quirk of Fate Book 1) Review :
This author always has well thought out and well written stories, but can often fall into the same tired alpha/twink trope a lot of mm authors do. Not this time. It's nice to read a story where the couple are partners and act like decent adults. No one running off in a snit over a misunderstanding and into danger. No one is "overwhelmed" by their uncontrollable instincts and being super possessive. No one is a whiny brat or an over bearing alpha, who is mean to their mate, apologizes, then does the same thing multiple times through out the book.We have 2 rational people who find out they are mates. They respect each other as intelligent adults. They support each other through trials and conflicts. And, shocker! they actually talk to each other about their feelings and why they took certain actions, like when Beelzebub showed up. I kinda want to see a sequel with them or at least more stories with couples like them. This book did feel a little rushed, but overall a great read. Recommended! Oh, Lisa, you did it again! I'm absolutely in love with this book! Mammon and Edward are now one of my favorite couples. I love the dynamic between them - feisty, sassy, intelligent, and hot as hell! Mammon is the perfect demon - sexy, irreverent and smart enough to see the big picture when he's first summoned. Edward is his perfect match - even before the Fates stepped in and made them mates. The story is full of snarky banter, hilarious hijinks, and lots and lots of heat 🔥🔥🔥 The supporting characters are just as fully realized and the perfect compliment to the MC's. This book is definitely going in my top list of favorites and I can't wait to read more about these two! Stunning, fun, addictive - I just can't say enough but "Read this!"
