How I rate a story. (In order of importance):Does it keep my attention ? Yes! Although it got a little wordy in places, I was able to skim and keep interested. Is it plausible? Yes. Although she accepted the supernatural world a little too fast and her ability to defend herself against werewolves with skills taught to her by her brother was a bit unbelievable, all in all they made logical choices.Grammatical errors or odd, repetitive language? There were a few spots that were grammatically wrong, but not enough to really take me out of the book.Do I like the Characters? I never really felt connected to either of them. Wes was too woe is me "I'm not good enough for anyone or anything, I'm just so bad" and she was too easily in love/lust with a random dude who took her captive /"under his protection"There are very few stories that I'll give a 1 star. If I finished reading it then it had to be "ok".All in all - the sex was hot, the rest was pretty ok. - 3 stars for good world building, I'm interested enough to read the next in the series. I am all for artistic license but even in fantasy, certain things should be researched. I am a lifelong farmer and horse person and 2 pages in I was already getting irritated. The author obviously has no real world farm experience and cobbled together decriptions based on random internet research. I found it painful to read and definitely won't continue the series.
